The Big Apple and a Big Ship! - Day 6 - Bermuda

August 5, 2017 – Bermuda

Arrived in port of Bermuda at 8am this morning and woke up about then too. I got showered and went for breakfast leaving Harriet to get up, brought her breakfast back and we were ready to leave the ship about 10.15.

At the port side got a shuttle bus to Horseshoe beach, $7 each, it was about a 20 minute drive with a driver who used to live in the U.K. and worked as a prison officer.

Lovely island, lots of pretty houses painted in different pastel colours. Beach was nice but busy as lots of people from our ship and Carnival Sunshine were there. Sea was warm and we swam and sunbathed for about 1 1/2 hours before getting a drink and returning to the docks Kings Wharf and the ship. Looked around a couple of shops for a bikini, but all expensive and touristy so we got back on the ship.

Straight to Windjammer buffet for a late lunch, then I went up to the pool deck to continue working on my tan.

Finished my book, had a few cocktails and then went for a swim, returning to the cabin at 6 to get showered etc for dinner at 8, casual dress tonight.

Dinner at 8, on the way we went to the bionic bar and robots made us both a drink, custom one without alcohol for Harriet and one with 3 shots of absolut mandarin and apple sours for me.

After dinner I got another bionic bar cocktail, this time with JD, apple and cranberry and went back to the cabin to watch TV, Chicago fire was on! Too much sun today and I'm tired!

Really wish we had,the bionic bar on the oasis,purely for the novelty factor.
