Volcano bay on a weekend?

I can’t really find any crowd levels for volcano bay. We arrive on a Thursday so don’t want to do volcano bay on the Friday as we might as well use the early wake up to do a universal park. We check out to go to Disney on the Monday so don’t want to take passports etc with us so we’re left with a weekend day to do volcano but I’ve heard you should avoid water parks on a weekend?

The water parks do tend to be busier on the weekend - if your staying on site at US you get early entry but even if your not if you get there for opening it will be busy but not so busy - generally picks up around 10ish

I’d get there for the early entry and leave by lunch.

That was my original thought but I don’t want to take our passports etc to the water park or leave them at HRH.

I wouldn’t take my passport to a water park, but I would be comfortable leaving it in my locked luggage for a few hours. If you don’t want to though, then Saturday it is.

We went to volcano bay on a Sunday, yes it was busy but perfectly manageable. Used early entry and got a return time for the water coaster which always gets long queues, husband and son did the drop slide early entry, which can also get busy later. Then after that just worked our way round the park, including the fast lazy river - loved that.
Great day out, really enjoyed our day there.

We've done VB twice at a weekend, but both times we were onsite at Hard Rock so made use of the early entry and was back at the hotel by 1pm as it was packed, but we got a lot done in those first few hours.

We’re staying a HRH and will use early entry. It’s our first few mornings so wishing early entry was earlier!
