Disney dining plan help please ?

Going in August with our family but have same accommodation booked e.g AKL, Polynesian and the Beach Club but different reservation numbers .My wife and I were thinking of paying for 4 nights on the dining plan and sharing it with our family. Contacted Disney DVC and they tell me we are not allowed to share the plan. Just wonder if anyone has managed to do this ?

You can't share as such but to can buy a meal with for anyone you want. So as long as one of the people with the plan is present to "pay" it couldwork

you can pay for someone's counter service or snack as no one would know but technically they couldn't pay for sit downs. you could use it to take the whole bill down though. my question tho is. is it really worth it?

We have done the Maths and with all the bits including mugs etc. works out a bit of a saving.

I think the response you got might be down to wording. In that you cannot share the dining plan credits out, in that you can’t give them to somebody else for them to use at their leisure.

But if you have eight credits on your account, go for dinner with say two others and then use four credits to pay, I can’t see how the server would even know, they do not check room allocations of dining parties.

Unless things have changed then you can definitely "share" as described by others TBH it's more of a "pay" than share IYKWIM Just not convinced that it's worth it vs OOP not for getting that every meal that you "pay" for is a meal that you have to pay OOP on another day

I have previously worked out that the dining plan is about 35% over priced. But if they use it to pay for, say, Chef Mickeys and a Fantasmic dining package for other people, then maybe the numbers will stack up.

Claudette I've tried every calculation trying to get it to work a bit of FOMO at work but I have yet to see an instance where we are not paying Disney for the privilege of eating their plan!

The Mammoth club made it work for one night - Polite pig QS + alcohol, OHana + alcohol, a snack plus the refill mug. I plan to do it for a one night ressie, but I could not force feed myself to eat all that food every day of the holiday and would waste money buying it
