What to do with a 5 year old whilst everyone else does HHN

We are staying at SF, husband and older girls are going to HHN. We do have a car but I won’t be driving 😂 I have tickets for US/IOA. What can I do with my 5 old for the evening?

Was debating getting a uber to icon park? Will that be safe at night?

I had no concerns (more than the usual)over safety at icon park in the evening. there are some great restaurants and the attractions are a fun way to spend a few hours but other than the eye they all closed quite early I think it was 5-6pm when we went. Hopefully there will be later opening hours when you go but I’d definitely check 1st.if you do decide to go I’d look at the play pass if it’s available - we had the one that covered 10 (bit of a stretch)activities we got it for £70ish each on offer which was well worth it.

If you did want to venture to icon park and make a full evening of it maybe tie it in with a visit to wonderworks? Or there is a pirates mini golf place between the 2.

If you’re not already what about doing the Disney Halloween party?

Super easy to get in uber from icon park too there is a place they can pull in just off the main road outside buffalo wild wings if you’d prefer not to wait right next to the main road.

I’d go to the pool and kids play areas at the pool. See if they are doing a movie under the stars.
Maybe head to city walk and get some ice cream.
All the things the older ones might not want to do.

See if you can get tickets to mnsshp or if you want to stay more local how about the crazy golf at city walk or go to Disney Springs and do rainforest cafe and then have a wander

Depending on how late your 5 year old stays up may take them to the swimming pool at cabana bay and then you could do bowling at cabana bay too. Nice and close to where you are as well
You could then go to city walk after if you wanted to extend the evening

I can only go by what my kids were like at that age, but if the rest of the holiday is full on, I might have chosen to have a chill at the hotel pool - or pool hop to a different pool - cabana bay possibly, and get lots of treats, and let them rest up a little. A slightly earlier night so they're raring to go. 5 year olds are only little!

IOA is still open until about 7/8pm when HHN is on so you still go in there and then depending on how tired they are maybe have some pool time. There is the cinema at city walk so you could see if they are showing anything you want to see. If your child likes riding the water taxis get the water taxi to Portofino Bay hotel and get an ice cream from Gelateria.

Thanks everyone ☺️ some fab ideas. She’s used to going with the flow so no problems keeping her up. I think we will go to IOA, then food at city walk and back to the pool 🏊🏻
