He’s a “diva” like probably many other celebs. 😱

I love his music, him as a performer and don’t think about his real personality.

I admit to feeling the same about Michael Jackson although I know his brilliance as a music performer doesn’t cancel out the reports of criminal activities he allegedly carried out over the years.

My fave Elton song is, someone saved my life tonight.
You never hear it in any radio though. He wrote it after breaking up on the eve of marrying a woman very early on in his career and I believe said woman was on GMB this morning.

I love this song too, I suppose I’d never given much thought to the fact it’s not really played on the radio because I have it on my iPod!

I’m in two minds whether I want to see Rocketman. I’m a huge Elton fan, have seen him 4 times in concert and have my tickets to see him again next year. I loved Bohemian Rhapsody but maybe that’s because Freddie is no longer with us, I guess to me a biopic when the person is still alive seems wrong!

I have just been to see Rocketman ...it was brilliant...not like Bohemian Rhapsody... with all the music ...which I also love and have seen four times...its all about Eltons life.
Very sad at times and it gives you an understanding of why he was a bit of a diva at times not vile.

I have always liked Elton...my Dont Shoot Me and Honky Chateaux albums are all warped playing them all the time...I was 16...63 now and still remember every word.
I have seen him live three times...the first time was on the Liverpool Empire...I remember he was signed to Rocket records at the time and I got one of the posters off the wall..I was with my friend and we were carrying on to the Cavern ...put it in the cloakroom and after all our dancing went back and it had gone😢
But I remember saying to my friend...If I ever have a boy I will call him Daniel...because I loved that song...and two years later I did..I called him John Daniel..then Another two years I had another son and called him Daniel.
My Mum always used to get requests played on Radio Merseyside for my birthdays etc and it was always Daniel.
Yes it was very good...I know I have rambled on a bit ...not been drinking honest...just love going down memory lane .

We are just home from watching it too. Really enjoyed it but was a bit emotional at times, he didn't have the happiest of times.

Olga and I saw him at Wembley Stadium (the old one) many years ago and, for me anyway, it was the best concert I’ve ever seen, joint first with a Fleetwood Mac show.

I love Elton too, more so the music than the man but I appreciate the diva element to him, I find it amusing. Anyway, when I was little I was always going to call my little boy Daniel and I can’t 100% remember why but I assume it was because of the song. However, when my first son was born we didn’t name him Daniel as there was someone in our circle at the time who I wasn’t fond of who of course had that name. Stupid I know. When our second son arrived I’d got over it () and he is named Daniel. Love love love to hear the song spontaneously if it comes on the radio. Other favourites are Your Song, Rocket Man, Candle in the Wind, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, I Guess that’s why the call it the Blues and many many more. So many great songs back then. I’ve seen him live a few times and he’s got such a great catalogue, you can’t fail to have a good time. In fact, l was pregnant with Daniel during one concert

Watched this last night, I really enjoyed it. As with Bohemian Rhapsody I found parts of it (particularly the being lonely when surrounded by people) very sad.

I can see why it is a 15, fair bit of sex and drug use shown.

In my opinion not as good as BR, but still a really good film. Though Taron did a great job.

Just got back from watching it and thought it was great. I really enjoyed the way his story was told.
Taron was fantastic in the lead role.
