shoulder impingement

I’ve recently developed a frozen shoulder and have been seeing a physio privately. I’ve just had the first of five shockwave treatments (ESWT) and there’s already increased movement. The improvement needs to be maintained through a programme of exercises that I try to do every two hours. The leaflet he gave me describes this treatment as suitable for shoulder impingement. I don’t believe it’s widely available outside of specialist clinics. Might be worth looking into as an alternative to surgery.

I had this and did the physio, injection route before having surgery about 2.5 years ago. It solved that issue but they did discover arthritis when they operated and I am beginning to struggle with the pain again but I haven’t lost the range of movement.

After 2 yrs of pain and paying on/ off for a chiropractor I has a steroid injection in my shoulder last week and am going for physio this afternoon. Hope yours is feeling better soon.
