Has rebooking worked in your favour?
I booked flights in May 21 and paid 3k, which was 2 economy departures and 2 premium economy returns to the UK.
I’ve had my October 23rd flights cancelled so will get a refund. My new journey scheduled a month later, I’ve paid off flights, car hire, universal/sea world/Busch/Disney and discovery cove Dolphin swim for about £4200. My flights this time were economy both ways with no premium option though. If I went on my original dates, I would have spent close to £6k once I sorted out carhire and theme park tickets! |

Kind of, we extended our January stay, our flights are reward flights which were in and out of Miami, I've managed to extend the stay and change them to MCO flights both ways, which tie in with our friends we're going with (they have reward flights with BA, ours are with VS)
So all worked out very nicely and no amendment fee - very happy.

Sadly no - loss of free dining, kids 2 yrs older kicks them into higher brackets, no free mde and flights costing significantly more for the same two weeks as the 2020 trip would have been mean an increase of nearly £2000 - and that's without factoring in paying for genie + or LL if we need them as there's no free fastpasses.
But still looking forward to it, and at least the lack of holidays over last 18 months means we had saved the extra needed!

Yes it has been positive for us we have moved our Virgin holiday from Aug 2020 to Aug 2021 which we paid £400 extra to move. Obviously that holiday didn’t happen so we moved it to December this year and saved £800 so in total saved £400 from original 2020 booking.
I have to say though I’m not the best at finding amazing deals. I tend to stick to what I know and that is direct flights to Mco with Virgin from either Manchester or Glasgow. From being on Dibb for a long time I know there are much better deals out there I just do not know the best route to find them.

Yeah, I mean ignoring the fact that not being able to go was rubbish, we've ended up getting better flights and securing upper with vouchers, flights we got were priced at 22k, we've paid around 3k including taxes.

No, 2 of the people who were coming with us now can't go.

No. Flights are much the same as hey have all been on Avios points, although I have lost £70 here and there with cancellations. Hotels for 2022 are more expensive than I had booked in 2020 and even this year.

We've now got to split the villa between 5 and not 7, so it's probably costing us more.
But we are now squeezing into 1 car rather than having 2 so I don't know what difference that makes
