I stayed at the Cosmopolitan in a fountain view room, amazing, great music on the TV and spa bath! The restaurants and shops are a bit too posh for me so I used to go over the bridge to Planet Hollywood for fab shops and food!

Cosmopolitan certainly seems to be the favourite. For 3 nights, is it worth paying the extra for a balcony, or just go for the basic city view room? The difference in price is around £170 and I’m not convinced it’s worth the extra. Any opinions?

I would for three nights, you really see the strip come to life at night! And the buzz is great!

Cosmo 100% we booked with BA, added a note for fountain view balcony, On arrival upgraded to a suite! It was so amazing we cancelled our 3 night stay at Mirage, called BA to stay at Cosmo & got to stay in our suite. Amazing trip!

The rest of the trip is booked with BA, so I will add the hotel to the booking. Good suggestion about requesting a fountain view balcony.

It's actually a specific booking category so if you book one you'll get one

I just checked my booking with BA, we paid for ‘strip view king’ June 2019. I called BA a week before departure just to check they got my note about the balcony. We didn’t land until late afternoon so I’m not sure if that had any relevance to us getting lucky and being upgraded to a suite?

Some tips: Uber pick up super quick at the Cosmo so don’t order too far ahead cause they can’t wait in the taxi area long. You can walk through the cosmo to the restaurants on the strip, much better value. If you like the slots, tip the drink servers. We hired a car at the cosmo, I think it was Hertz. Again, got a free upgrade to a soft top & drove out to red rock which was a lovely day out. The men loved the shooting range whilst us girls loved the outlets...north outlets are better than south

Thanks for the info. We’ll be driving from LA to Vegas, and hoping to arrive mid afternoon. I’ve got Red Rock on my list of places to visit whilst we are there.
