Is Japan an option for summer 2022?

We are desperate for an adventure. Is Japan a realistic option for July/august or are we best sticking closer to home/ less exotic?

I’d be wary. It’s still closed off. Who knows what they could do. I am staying well away from any countries like this personally.

We went to Japan in 2019 and booked to return 2020 but of course that did not happen. I am not even thinking about returning at the moment as I just don’t think it will happen any time soon.

Mmm I'm back to the drawing board! Thinking Greece or Hawaii - and realise they are very different

No I don’t think so.
We are planning (and crossing our fingers) for 2023

If you are doing Hawaii I’d have a stopover in LA or Disneyland, it’s a hell of a flight otherwise.

This would be the plan! We did LA, Kauai, nyc a few years ago...this might be La and maybe maui?! But we also love Greece and a Greek island might be the tonic we need

I am planning for November 2023 (planned for Nov 2030 and postponed twice).

I would never go in summer as I can’t bear heat.

We don't mind heat but it's sounding like it's not a goer 😢
