Would you believe it? Passholder rate just appeared today….average of $161 down from $191 so grabbed it and if it drops by more, we’ll hopefully be able to switch.
This is for March, so if anyone is still looking to book, check it out now😁 |

Thanks for that. Just checked my dates in April and the Portofino is coming out the cheaper of the three that include front of lines passes. It actually works out exactly the same price as what I currently have booked for the Royal Pacific. I don’t know weather to change it or not? I’ve stayed in both before and I think the main difference was Portofino has bigger rooms. What’s the general opinion on which is the better hotel?

We’ve always stayed in whichever one was cheapest, which almost always is RPR. We stayed in the other two on the rare occasions they were less (or little difference) and if I had the choice, I’d stick with portofino. Although the theming of RPR is ‘more us’, I think portofino is visually the nicest and the one that I would happily sit at and people watch. In the 40+ days we’ve spent at RPR, we’ve never just sat and chilled

Thanks. I decided to change to the Portofino. The room was much better there than at the Royal pacific last time, although it was a club room we had last time at the Portofino. My first choice is always Hard Rock because of its location, but as you said, you can’t really go wrong with any of them.

Can anyone tell me the how the balance payment is taken when booked direct with universal direct? They have taken a deposit, but I can’t see where it’s says when and how they take the rest.

Just managed to book PB on an AP rate for Feb half term $477 (£315) for a standard room, which was a lot cheaper than my Trivago HRH £455!

You might want to the exchange rate your using. I booked yesterday for April and with tax it worked out at just under £400 per room, so I thought you were getting a bargain, but $477 at the current 1.37 to the pound works out at £348. Still cheaper than your hard rock price though!
