Heathrow T4 to T5

Hi,
I am looking to stay at a hotel that’s connected to Heathrow but I think it’s at terminal 4 and we are flying from terminal 5…. Is there anyway to get to terminal 5 from terminal 4 within the airport? Thanks

T4 is currently shut, normally you'd take the Heathrow express 1 stop (for free) but it doesn't currently stop at T4. You would have to take a taxi or there may be a bus service (not sure on that).

Normally there is the free train that connects all terminals but it hasn't been running to T4 while it was closed. Not sure on the current status.

The Heathrow Express doesn't go to T4 even when it is open. During normal times you would have a choice of

Using the Underground to T 2/3 then change over to a tube to T5
Or
Use Tfl Rail to T 2/3 then change to the Heathrow Express to T5

both are free but you need to use an Oyster or contactless debit card to sign in for the first option or get a ticket for the second option.

There would be local red bus services serving T4 to T5 which would be chargeable or a taxi.

It's a connection transfer service - talk about splitting hairs. If you are sat on the Heathrow Express it tells you about the transfer to T4 in normal times and you don't buy a new ticket.

I am so sorry you think I am splitting hairs and please accept my apologies it wasn't my intention. Perhaps I didn't explain my point the way I should have.

I was trying to explain to the OP that apart from bus/taxi there were 2 options using the Tube or the combination of Tfl/Hex via T2/3 to T5. If using the Tfl/HEX you should get a free transfer ticket from the machine before getting on the train - the same goes for getting on at T5 to just go to T2/3 on the HEX.

Heathrow T5 hotels and parking

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a half decent hotel and parking please? Are blue circle meet and greet any good? Seen a few hotels with the parking with them as an option. Thanks

Not used them yet but we booked through Holiday Extras at the T5 Premier Inn with Blue Circle meet and greet for our trip next week.

£120 for the hotel and 2 weeks parking and can use any Terminal to drop off the car. Only thing is an extra £12 overnight parking at the hotel but seems like an absolute bargain when we paid £65 for parking for a week at Birmingham in November!
