We went May half term, with my 81 year old mum and a GP letter confirming permanent disability. They gave us the easy access pass, after a little discussion but not the full disability access pass as they said we needed state proof eg blue badge or proof of attendance allowance or pip, which we didn't have with us. This was at City Hall.
We had a virtually identical GP letter for my dad 2 years ago and that was all they wanted to see then. I'm guessing that they have tightened up the rules.
