Hi

I have gone for the Class L. Does the Expedition Max have the word Max on it? Not sure from photos, although looks like it might be on the rear chrome strip.

Thanks.

Yes, the one we had was a Max. We must’ve got lucky as we didn’t book a premium SUV but this is what was waiting for us at Miami

We had the older Expedition EL last year from Alamo and that was tagged as a Premium SUV.
There was 5 of us and we could’ve easily had a party in the space at the back!

Can you use Google maps, you can download all of Orlando and more in offline maps which is about 300mb or just use data if its included in your contract.

What is a Ford Expedition Max?

The 2019 Ford Expedition Max configurations isn't as well-known is the standard model, but the answer to the question, "what is a Ford Expedition Max?" is fairly straightforward: the Expedition Max is a bigger version of the standard Expedition. The Max is not quite as easy to maneuver on drives around Iosco County as a result, but its larger wheelbase and body make it the smarter choice for drivers who tend to travel with lots of cargo.
2019 Ford Expedition vs Expedition Max" Dimensions and Cargo Space
Both the Expedition and the Expedition Max qualify as full-size SUVs, and although each offers seating for up to eight passengers, there are still several significant differences between their interior and exterior dimensions. We've outlined the most notable divergences, which remain constant across the XLT, Limited, and Platinum trim levels:

2019 Ford Expedition

Length: 210 inches
Wheelbase: 122.5 inches
Minimum Cargo Volume: 20.9 cubic feet
Cargo Volume, Rear Seats Folded: 63.6 cubic feet
Maximum Cargo Volume: 104.6 cubic feet
Passenger Volume: 172 cubic feet
Curb Weight (RWD): 5,443 pounds

2019 Ford Expedition Max

Length: 221.9 inches
Wheelbase: 131.6 inches
Minimum Cargo Volume: 36 cubic feet
Cargo Volume, Rear Seats Folded: 79.6 cubic feet
Maximum Cargo Volume: 121.4 cubic feet
Passenger Volume: 172.0 cubic feet
Curb Weight (RWD): 5,544 pounds

[2018 Ford Expedition interior cabin.jpeg]
Performance
The 2019 Ford Expedition and the 2019 Ford Expedition Max receive the same 3.5L EcoBoost® Engine options, the same 10-Speed Automatic Transmission (SelectShift®), and, no matter which you choose, the Control Trac® Four-Wheel-Drive System is available on all trims. However, the larger build of the Expedition Max does generate some noteworthy effects on performance:

2019 Ford Expedition

Fuel Tank Capacity: 23.3 gallons
Fuel Economy: 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highway
Turning Radius: 20.5 feet
Maximum Trailer Weight: 6,000 pounds

2019 Ford Expedition Max

Fuel Tank Capacity: 28.3 gallons
Fuel Economy: 17 mpg city, 23 mpg highway
Turning Radius: 21.7 feet
Maximum Trailer Weight: 6,300 pounds

Platinum trims offer 400 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, while XLT and Limited trims generate 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Rear-Wheel Drive is standard on both models, though four-wheel drive is available.

Thanks for the information RickT.

I guess what I'm asking is for someone to confirm that the Max has the word Max on it, so it is clearly a Group L, rather than a Z in the wrong row.

Thanks

I can confirm that the one we had did indeed have MAX on the back (on the chrome strip). I named him Maximus after the horse in Tangled

We had the Expedition Max last summer (premium SUV class) for our family of 6. (4A 2C).

Its very spacious inside for day to day use, but be aware it barely took our 6 medium sized cases plus stroller. But that was ok, because it states 4 cases as its cargo space.
