I've just been reading the thread in WDWmagic forum & it seems that part of Martinique might also be demolished.
I think once this work starts it might be disturbing to guests at CBR. There's a copy of a guest letter on that forum about the food court at Trinidad South & advising Trinidad South pool will be closed during that time. Still 'trying' to remain positive about our August trip 😳 |

Excited about Disney

Oh I'm staying there in Nov. Our first ever Disney holiday (using all my savings) I hope it doesn't disrupt our holiday. I'm only just getting over the fact one water park will be closed!
Hope the pools at the hotel are still usable etc. I've paid for a preferred room. |

I'm booked in for 2 weeks in Sept/Oct this year and it's a booking and was hoping for Martinique. I've just emailed them asking about the potential guest impact and indicated that if there was a problem then I would like to consider moving to another resort. I've stayed there before and really like it but I don't want to take any risks.

We are due to be here in march I requested Jamaica area
Already worried about what the effect we will have with the other work that's going on which was notified to us when we booked. It's the first time we have had a trip on site for the whole holiday and I'm now a little worried about wether we have picked the right resort now!

It's a very big resort and Jamaica doesn't seem near the construction🙂

Try not to worry too much as a start date for it hasn't even been announced. There's some work happening in the Trinidad south area to build a new food and drink place, but that should be finished by mid-late end March based on the travel dates for people who have been notified about it. Unless you've got a pirate room booked, then you won't even notice it. If you get Jamaica then you'll be away from everything - the planned work plus the rumoured work. Personally I'd be surprised if the rumoured work started before Easter as that's peak time with high resort occupancy levels so it would seem odd to shut off a huge area and lose that revenue. Just an opinion though

Its a big resort and each village has a large car park. Pretty sure the work will be self contained and the rest of the villages and roads will be unaffected.
Im not worried at all. If anything it will reduce the capacity during the work making food courts and main pools quieter but i was there in july and we always got a lounger/tables.
