BA Wifi

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is wifi on BA flights from gatwick-orlando? If so do they have any prices. Do they allow multiple devices to be connected for a family of 4 and is it any good?

Cheers

Ross

We had WiFi on our BA flight to Barbados. Each person has to pay for their own WiFi. £14 for the whole flight each way. It was good. Not sure if BA flights to Orlando have WiFi

The majority, but not all, of the aircraft likely to be used LGW-MCO are now WiFi-enabled, so you have a reasonable chance but no guarantee.

BA offers two speeds of WiFi, normal for basic browsing and emails, high speed that is meant to support streaming (BA has a Netflix partnership). I've used both and the faster one is a good speed, but I haven't tried streaming with it.

Prices range from £5 for an hour of the basic speed up to £24 for the whole flight at higher speed (you can buy 1 hour, 4 hours or whole flight for each speed, but can't recall all the prices). Each connection is restricted to one device, you can't connect multiple devices or even switch from one device to another on the same payment.

Stability is pretty decent going to the USA, it can be more dodgy if flying east from the UK, due to network issues.
