A holiday to Disney or home improvements
Desperately want to book a holiday to Disney next October 2020 but trying to convince the hubby that a 2 week holiday is much better than spending money on Home improvements. The memories with the kids much outway a lick of paint. What sort of prices are people coming up with for me t year. We’ve done a virgin package before which was good, is it to early to start planning or wait till closer to the time to book something. All advice grateful. Thank you.

Are you looking to stay onsite or offsite? There’s no free dining for October and so the only offer is 10% off onsite which I think is pretty rubbish. I would definitely hold off booking.
Also, who is in your party (and ages), when in October do you want to travel and where are you travelling from? Are you prepared to fly indirect? These factors will all impact on the costs that you will get. |

Thank you for replying. we always stay off site, stayed previously at
comfort suites main gate east. End of October beginning November also. I really hate flying so does the hubby so direct flights only my nerves can’t take it. 19 year old by then and a 15 year old plus 2 adults. |

Home improvements - we are taking a year out this time to sort out the house and garden. Problem is, you’ll keep wanting to go back the next year so you just need to break the cycle once. I’ld rather have a nice home I can enjoy for 50 weeks a year if it means giving up on a 2 week Disney holiday. Just trying to offer a different perspective

I’m in the go on holiday and enjoy the time spent with family. Life is too short and you never know what’s round the corner, yes the house might need a few bits doing but it’s not going anywhere and unless urgent it can wait. Children grow up so quickly, cherish them and make memories while you can!

Depends on how vital the home improvements are. If it’s a major job then I would get the work done, if it’s just cosmetic and you can live with it happily then I would choose the holiday. A house needs to be comfortable but I don’t crave a show home, I much prefer to spend the money on making memories

It's a balance you need to choose whether you could wait another year for Disney, or even 6 months and do the decorating
I could book another trip to Orlando now but I really want to have new windows too and seeing as I have been twice in 6 months the windows are winning. Plus they have been on hold for 18 months!
