My son had a liver transplant due to liver cancer and we have used boots for our next trip and also had good quotes from insurancewith and worlds first.

My daughter had Hodgkins Lymphoma and for our trips last year and this September, the ‘best’ quotes we found were from Boots.
She finished treatment some time ago but I would echo the advice to shop around. We also found it cheaper, surprisingly to buy one policy for the three of us rather than buying cover for her on her own.

So happy to hear that you found a policy at a price you were prepared to pay. Have a wonderful holiday.

Just jumping on this question to see if anyone has experience of a similar situation to me. I had an unexplained seizure 5 weeks ago, have had MRI, lumbar puncture, EEG, the whole works. They have established that there is an “unexplained anomaly” on my frontal lobe but don’t know exactly what the problem is and can’t explain the symptoms I continue to have (sub clinical - ie not blacking out - seizures, although these are being controlled by meds.
The consultant thinks I will be okay to fly, waiting for them to provide me with a letter to this effect next week and I have contacted my existing travel insurance provider but fully expect them to say I won’t be covered. So my question is, has anyone had any experience of getting insurance (maybe through one of the previously mentioned providers) where they know something is wrong but it has not been diagnosed and they have no clear timescale for when a diagnosis might be made? |

I think it can depend on the type of cancer. DW had Hodkins Lymphoma and they were reasonably relaxed shortly after her chemo finished. As already suggested, Macmillan and Cancer Research websites are really helpful.
