This 'glitch' means that if you want to stay less than 7 nights you can get the nightly rate of $171 ($1199 divided by 7) instead of $299 per night. The rate is only supposed to apply for 7 night stays, not for 1 or 2 night stays
Yeah I know the glitch is better for those who want to book the 1/2 nights. I didn't realise there was a 7 for 4 offer until reading this thread!

I kinda get it now! Normal rate is $249 a night so I guess with tax it works out at around $299 a night. I was getting confused as without the offer I was getting quoted $187 a night but that's on a Super Saver offer or something so I was thinking if they're charging you $299 a night for something that's normally $187!

I've got it now though, thanks.

Yes - supersaver rates are usually available for stays of 4 nights or more & can give quite good savings. You need to play around with rates & dates sometimes to get the best offers

Tax is 12.5% so a $249 room ends up as $280.13

I have just had a look and we could book a normal room at HRH for roughly $159 rather than $279. It does clearly state that it is a 7 night promotion on there. Would they make us pay the extra when they realise it's only for 1 night?

No breakfast - unless you book a Club room, then you can get a light brekkie in the Lounge

We have taken the plunge and booked one night at HRH in August! Fingers crossed that they honour the price. So excited now!

Glad this was of help to some of you... Cancellation policy is as previously stated...Cancel five days before arrival for a full refund.

I booked online, and have everything confirmed in black & white '4 nights at 4/7 of the normal rate'. All I had to pay was a deposit equivalent to 1 nights stay.

I then phoned Universal's UK number to cancel my previous booking and arrange for my previous deposit to be refunded. Whilst on the phone their rep could see the 2 bookings in my name, so I made sure he cancelled the original one, and explained that I had rebooked using a promotion on the UK web-site. He confirmed what a good rate this was.
