4 Old Fogeys Return To The Magic

Julie Aka Juju who recently celebrated 50
Juju's DH Eamonn not saying how old...but let's just say his date of birth was etched on a stone tablet as paper wasn't invented then! Only joking he's 58

Where are we flying from? Manchester
When are we flying? 4th November
Where are we staying in USA? OKW
Are we excited? Oh yes
Are we fed up of ridiculous questions? Aye shut up and get on with it!


DH and I last visited WDW in September last year and such a lot has happened since then. My mum was given the all clear from lung cancer in October. We were burgled whilst we slept in November. December our best friend was diagnosed with the same horrific disease as my wonderful mum. January mum was told the cancer was back, our friend was told there was no treatment available to him. Our friend lost his battle 12th March and my beloved mum lost hers 15th March we then lost our uncle 17th March Needless to say we are desperate for this holiday!

So we have been to WDW with Juju and Eamonn quite a number of times before We went when our boys were growing up and since just the 4 of us without the ankle biters (Can't really call em that now as the youngest is going to be 23 this year!)

Let's go back to last April and the date for booking, I was there sweaty palmed waiting for OKW to show with the free dining, voila booked
I only booked a studio to start off with but then decided to upgrade to a one bed, overkill for just DH and I but we love the 1 bed

Juju also booked and the planning commenced

I bought the flights the date they were released and booked our seats 17 A&C going out 19 A&C returning. Juju has booked a fly drive and they are seated upstairs in the bubble

We booked Quicksilver for transfers from the airport. They are fab and have used them numerous times before.

We booked the car through Floridacarhire.com very good price too . We will pick the car up from the Dolphin the day after we arrive, The plan is to go to DHS for extra magic hours then walk to the Dolphin to pick the car up.

Juju then suggested that we spend a night at Universal to have the benefit of FOTL we are booked into RPR for one night This is the first time for all 4 of us so we are all looking forward to making use of the FOTL.

We have booked the Travel Lodge the night before we got a bargain of £26 per couple and £37 for meet and greet parking at the airport. We haven't stayed at a Travel Lodge for a few years but as the price was that low we thought why not!

So the planning began in earnest when our ADR window opened, we are booked into the following

We will have to pay OOP for some of them

All our fast passes have been booked and we are ready to play!

We have all our $'s and are looking at booking MVMCP with our $200 gift card.

Both DH and I have 3 as our mobile providers so it will be roaming on!

So the four of us are all getting really excited now

I have 12 more working days when I go back to work next Monday. I finish 28th October, this gives me chance to clean the house from top to bottom and finish the packing. I am booked in for my hair do and my nails etc.
DH has 22 more working days to do including today although his work wanted him to work every Saturday between now and going away He has worked 6 days a week for the last 4 weeks so he told them no. DH's last working day will be 2nd November
Juju finishes 28th like me when she does her last night shift 27th
Eamonn finishes 2nd November like DH

3rd November airport bound

That's about it no doubt Juju will be along to add to this in case I've missed anything
