Anyone been to the Disney village Celebrations? I never read something about it here before so i am curious. Is iT worth a visit? Is there something to see or do? Any thoughts all welcome.

If you mean Celebration yes
Worth a visit if you want to,wander or hire bikes ad cycle round it to see tha fancy houses walk round the lake have something to eat or even ice cream
Has a farmers market on a Sunday as well
Honestly if this is your first visit you won't have the time as somufh to see and do at the parks

It was originally developed by the Disney Corporation to reflect what they considered to be the epitome of small town America but nothing to do with WDW now although they do have offices in the commercial area.

It's a pleasant enough place to pass a couple of hours but don't think of it as Disney theme park. We go a couple of times every holiday usually in the day but at Christmas we always go in the evening because residents really go over the top with decorating their houses. Similarly at Halloween.

Not many shops there now but a good selection of restaurants. Buy a Starbucks or a Kilwins ice cream and sit in the rocking chairs overlooking the lake. Watch for the resident 'gator.

If you park kerb side make sure it's in the direction of travel - they're pretty hot on it there.

MASSIVE PS

Just noticed that you've posted this in Disneyland Paris forum. Absolutely nothing to do with the town of Celebration in Florida then

If you are asking about the town in Florida then hopefully the Mods will move it to the appropriate place.

Wow! This is very strange... i did not even know there was a DLP forum here on the Dibb. When i posted this i am sure iT was between the Florida themeparks Posts. I know for sure because i even read some of the posts. When wanted to check if i got some replies i couldn’t find my question anymore so i found iT by going true “my messages”.
Very strange this... i want to put into the Florida Parks forum but don’t know how...

The appropriate sub-forum would be "Beyond the Parks" as Celebration is not a theme park. Hopefully the Mods will spot it and move it.

I only saw it as I was in "Forum Spy"

We love Celebration, we go at least a couple of times each year to walk around the lakes. Our current favourite place to eat is Celebration Tavern but the portions are huge.

It is our favourite chill-out place.

The Farmer's Market on a Sunday is worth a nosy around too

We went twice in January, and ate both times at the Tavern - as mentioned, the usual big portions, but IO had the meatloaf with Texan Toast which was delicious.
