Wild Florida

I would like to visit here on our next trip.
Just looking at all options confuses me lol .

Also transportation from our hotel ~ pick up point, is that separate?

Did you book wild Florida direct with airboat ride included ? We want to do the airboat ride .
Also the sloth encounter, is that all separate

Anyone did all these ? What’s the best way to do it please ? We won’t have transport outselves and uber is too expensive .

It is a long way - literally in the middle of nowhere - would not recommend it without a car to be honest. We went on to their website and booked everything with them - we had a discount code

wildfloridairboats/buy-w...orida-tickets/

code is DESTC - gives 20% off some bits of it

Hi we have been twice with transportation with Greyline. They picked us up at the swan and asked where we wanted to be dropped off. It was perfect! The cheapest we have found this year is 38 pounds on travel republic, that's for the 30 min boat ride, its a bit more for the hour. They also offered us the 1 hour when we got there but we stuck with 30 mins so we had enough time to explore the animal park! Hope you manage to get there and have a great time!

No we had a car. Allows for flexibility. The transport for the airboat days out etc leave you a fixed time at the park, they are usually an 8 hour day out, so 5 or so hours to kill... There was not 5 or so hours worth of entertainment at Wild Florida - half a day 3-4 hours at best.

edit to add - just seen they also use Grayline - don't know how flexible they are - was all Dolphintours when we were there...

We are going here tomorrow... doing the airboat ride and kids are doing the sloth encounter, not telling them till we get there as they will freak with excitement, our DD is nicknamed sloth due to her sleeping habits ! 😃

OK, will try and give some helpful info... just back in villa now at 8pm
Left at 8 am and it took an hour and 10 minutes from sunset lakes

Booked in and paid for sloth encounter for both kids and airboat ride for all 4 of us... was $236 all in... that was with 20% if you mention DREAMER20 as a code... we found a you tube channel with guys that reviewed it and they honoured it... should have been nearer $300

We then walked around the park and saw gators etc before the kids had to be at the sloth encounter
They were taken as a group with 8 others into the cage with 2 sloths... each group ( say 2 in each group) then got to get close to the sloth (Guy was his name - Chloe was sleeping)... to stroke the sloth and take pictures, no holding of the sloth or feeding it
They were in the cage for around 20 minutes or so... not too long at all

We sat and picked a sandwich and snacks now as picnic area was quiet
Then sat and watched the show where they get in the enclosure with the large gator and feed him direct... wouldn’t be me doing that job ! ... good fun and nice to learn how they take the gators in and can train some

We then seen the rest of the park before our airboat ride at 2 pm... we all loved this... speeding though the swamp we saw a baby gator, a bald eagle in the treetop, some vultures and various birds etc... also seen a very large dead gator floating ! ... guy taking the tour said it was around 12 foot.

Kids loved the sloth tour and gave it 9/10... downsides were they couldn’t hold the sloth and were in a group of 10 rather than than on their own...!
Hope you enjoy it if you decide to do it... try the discount code as well

That’s a fantastic summary thank you so much - and that’s a really super cool photo. I’m tempted but I would love to hold the sloth...
