Short day trip from New York
We are on a Disney cruise in October and will have to disembark the ship about 7.30am. Our flight back to the UK is from JFK at 1930 hours. We already have three nights in New York prior to the cruise.
I was initially thinking that we would pay to store our luggage somewhere and then spend the day in Manhattan before going to the airport. Now I have been considering hiring a car from the cruise terminal to JFK. It is a reasonable price considering we would likely pay for a taxi to the airport anyway. Is there anywhere in the direction of the airport which would be worth going to for a few hours? I did originally think of the outlets but that is in the opposite direction So I don’t know whether it would be worth the travelling or not. |

How about heading down Long Island?
Montauk is about 2 hours away, and Riverhead (which has some an outlet shopping centre) is about an hour away (maybe 1hour 15).
