Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport

I really need to get a grip. I just can’t decide where to stay the night before our stay and keep booking and cancelling airport hotels! I ‘think’ I have finally decided on a club room at the Crowne Plaza and have booked that with a parking package. I had booked the Marriott but it seems they have done away with the free shuttle bus and even though this holiday has costs thousands I begrudge paying for a taxi!

So I booked the CP as it is includes the lounge which serves a complimentary continental breakfast from 5:30 which is perfect to tide us over and. We would have something else at the airport. But then I read on trip advisor that there is no club lounge breakfast at weekends. I have emailed the hotel direct but no reply after 2 days and so yesterday I asked on Trip Advisor. The answer I had from CP was ‘breakfast is served in the main restaurant for those who are in club rooms’.

So does this mean we have a complimentary continental breakfast but just in the restaurant instead of the lounge? The breakfast is a full buffet and normal costs £17 so would we just be able to have the continental stuff or is it a perk that you can get a full English breakfast? Has anyone stayed at the weekend at all?

Marriott was being upgraded and they did not have the shuttle at one point but the shuttle is back on now. I had previously decided on the Holiday Inn using my IHG points because of no shuttle at Marriott. I have now changed my mind because shuttle is back on & have booked Marriott using my Marriott points instead. Plus I fancy the Italian restaurant at the Marriott for dinner that night. Cant help about the breakfast question sorry.

I am totally confused about the shuttle as the website says yes but we had all the info about parking etc emailed and that’s says we have to get a taxi.

Just had a phone call and because we are there at the weekend and no breakfast in the club lounge we get a free full buffet breakfast in the main restaurant which is normally £17 each so we are staying with that
