Mobile Virgin Going Direct From Gla Nov19?

Looked yesterday on Skyscanner and see a Sat direct flight option with Virgin. Is that new? Had it in my head that the direct flights up here tended to stop end of Oct? Showing as 618 with Virgin for Sat 9th but as low as 468 via the third party sites. 11.35 dep arriving 15.35. May be useful for someone.

Am sure it's new for this year though although confess I was usually searching for flights from Edi so I may just have missed it before. Decent price though considering cost of some of the indirect options.

They have done it before but that was a couple of years back
As you say the price was good only a few pounds more than indirect when we added on bags etc
Have to say not a Virgin fan but it's a means to an end for me

We usually do United and was also looking at aer lingus as getting in to mco as domestic is a bonus. But got a silly ba price and as you say it's a means to an end. If I can save 500 minimum then I'll suffer immigration.

We got a great price flying direct with virgin from Glasgow but booked through Expedia as cheaper. We booked for end of August. Was actually cheaper than indirect! Haven’t flown with virgin before but I’m sure it will be fine.

They've flown in Nov on most Fridays since 2016 (having been each year). This year they have moved to Saturday flights but downsized from a 747 to an A330 which is a significant drop in capacity. In each of the last three years the first Friday in Nov has been a full plane i.e. 450 pax.

Prices are insane on 2nd Nov at £940 for Economy although a bit cheaper the following week at £645 with Virgin.

On the third party sites it is almost certainly the case that these will be Economy Light prices. I've been checking prices daily for Nov and Delta are a good bit cheaper for the same flights.

Think we'll have to go indirect this year as the prices are so high.
