Disney Waterparks

The first week of our trip this year is staying at CSR on the QSDP. We will just be doing Disney for this week (moving onto the other parks for the rest of the trip).

As a couple, on our last two trips together we have only had tickets for MK and AK in Disney. This time we have them for all 6 Disney parks.

We are planning to do some full days in one park, and others split between a couple of parks. I am trying to do the split days with parks close to each other to minimise travel time - e.g. HS and Epcot.

One thing I’m struggling with is the waterparks. We want to visit both (providing they’re open, which I think they will be end Sept/early Oct?) but as we will be staying at Cabana Bay the next week with such simple access to Volcano Bay (and will also spend half a day at Aquatica), we don’t feel the need to spend loads of time in the Disney ones.

My questions therefore are:

1) For two adults, is it doable to do the main rides in each park in half a day each? We have both been before, but as kids, and guess it’s changed in the last 15 years too!

2) We are planning to go from AK (with EMH) to BB in the afternoon on a Monday, but TL seems to be quite far from the other parks (we will be using Disney transport and don’t have a car). How would you suggest we fit this in (i.e. morning/afternoon and on a day with which other park?)? At the moment, it’s again in my plan on an afternoon after AK. Perhaps the morning would be better for TL as AK is open later, but AK has EMH that morning.

Help! Thanks

what we usually do is get to the parks for opening. if staying onsite try to take advantage of the extra magic hours and also your fast passes. we stay at the park till 1 or 2 and then go to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon for a few hours. relaxing and refreshing for your tired feet! then back to a park.

doing it this way we find that we can fit in the water parks without spending the entire day there which we're not too bothered about.

As an adult I love Typhoon Lagoon but don't go on any of the slides. I love the lazy river and chilling out in a couple of shallow pool areas.

That's a great idea! When do you get to find out which days/places are extra magic?

they are shown on the Park Hours , the extra hours are in brackets. One park each day will open early or close late. The extra hours are only for guest staying onsite. fab way to get the popular rides in before the parks get really busy.

This is what we do on quite a few days during the holiday as we love the waterparks and enjoy going to the other parks at night.

Ah thanks. Yeah we're staying on site so this will be really handy. Our dates aren't up yet but there's plenty of time!

I LOVE this idea. We wondered if it was an option during planning just this week. So pleased to hear it works for you.
We plan to combine it with getting food at some of the cheaper offsite restaurants sometimes too.

Totally do-able to do the wp rides as two adults in half a day, particularly if you’re there at opening (& not a weekend day)
