Is this quite a scenic coastal route to St. Augustine's?

Yes. From Daytona it follows the coast passing through Flagler Beach which is one of the best unspoilt resorts in Florida.

Next question, does St. Augustine's keep the same hours on a Sunday as week days?

Yes I have done the trip down the A1A from Jacksonville stopped over at St Augustine for the night then back on the A1A to pickup the I95 then back up to kissimmee. It was a magical drive miles and miles of coast. Stunning

Just found I made a mistake vis I95 it should have been the 195 which starts at the A1A and goes all the way up to US27 sorry about typo. have a great time
