My kids ... ds 21 & dd 15. We have done Disney every year and sometimes twice from the time my son was 9 months old.
Both go on every ride ( except dumbo cup & saucer oh and the tiki room ) and they still get pictures taken with various characters.
I’m not sure if they do it for us or themselves, but they both can’t wait to get back!
Disney is what you make it...

As you can see from my countdown we are approaching our 5th visit. We first took the kids when they were 6 and 9. DD will be 20 and DS 23 this time around and they are just as excited as they were all those years ago. They have countdowns on their phones and I have to send them screenshots of all the ADRs I'm making.

Although they prefer the big coasters at Universal and Busch now I can guarantee that if we could only go one one ride in the whole holiday they would choose The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh.

Disney brings out the kid in everyone.

Disney quest used to be a great one for the teens in our party but that has sadly gone

Universal usually more of a hit than Disney because of the Marvel attractions and HP

It depends on how into it they are. My 17 year old daughter is still as in love with WDW as when she was 5. My 20 year old son has come since he was 7 and likes it less each time. Last summer he was only really bothered about the food and the shopping.

Everyone is different. My children are boy 25, girl 22, boy 19 and girl 14. They all love Disney. My husband enjoys it as well. For me Disney is ok but I only go for them. However I enjoy universal as do the rest of the family.

That's a really good point. I (28) wasn't too bothered about Disney last time, but made myself a list of all the food and drink I wanted to try and that kept me occupied for the day 😂

So even if they're not too interested in Disney then there's probably still things AT Disney that they'll enjoy?!

DD will be just about 16 when we go this year - she can't wait. We gave her the choice of anywhere in the world for this holiday (post GCSEs - she'll need it!) and it was always going to be Disney. She has been many times when she was younger but it was 2013 when she last went.

I don't think she will do any character meets this year though - she is quite self conscious and will feel a bit daft.

We are going for 3 weeks so I have also got tickets for SW and BG but the first 10 days will be full-on Disney.

Everyone is different though so, just because it is DDs favourite place on Earth, it doesn't mean your kids will enjoy it.

My boys were 19 and 26 when we went last, and really enjoyed it. I'm pleased that they do, but did say that they didn't have to come if they didn't want to (I paid for them). My eldest has travelled quite widely but still enjoys Disney, and next time we go, his GF will be coming as well.

The bottom line is: enjoy it if they want to come, don't worry if they don't.

Universal is so much better, once our kids were teenagers there was very little to entertain them in Disney. I do like Epcot but that's just for the shopping, food and drink, but now I will keep the price of the disney ticket and instead enjoy it on a nice meal off site. Universal has something for us all, thrill rides, Marvel, Potter, Kong, staff that don't bark orders and actually seem to enjoy their work, and most importantly now that city walk has improved, plenty of good food and drinking places for adults.
