center parcs Holland?
After about a million changes of mind, we are looking at Easter for a week at one of the center parcs in Holland. We have priced it up and it is so much cheaper than the UK
Has anyone been to any of them and if so, what were your thoughts? |

I would be interested too. A lady at work has been and said they were great. I started to look and the reviews on trip advisor were very mixed. We had a week in Duinrell in Aug, actual park great Al Fresco caravan mucky and pretty grim.

We went to one quite a few years ago and it was very nice.
Quite similar to the UK one I've been too. Lots of activities and a nice pool. We went to Kempervennen. |

Excited about Disney

We've been to De Kempervennen many times and absolutely love it. The kids and their friends all learnt to ski in the snow dome and faced their fears on the high wire challenge. It's very chilled out, nice and flat and has a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

We have been to de Kempervennen several times and really like it. It's particularly good value in half terms, as the Dutch aren't on holiday then. We have also been to Eperheidt, which is just a few miles from de Kempervennen across the Belgian border. De Kempervennen was better though, because there are no language problems in Holland - everyone speaks good English, and films on TV are shown in the original language; whereas in Eperheidt French was the principal language spoken.

Hi, we live in holland and have been to most of the centerparcs in the netherlands, when the kids were younger they were great for half term breaks. It depends who you are planning for and what you want to do and also when you want to go which park would suit your wishes.
The eemhof is near to the dolfinarium, amersfoort zoo and the historic city and close to woodland good for waling and mountain biking it also has a watersports centrum. Heiderbos, one of our favourites has a jungle dome where you can hire a tree house and eat breakfast with squirrels and tropical birds it's near to nijmegen city good for shopping, theme park tivoli the swimming pool has a wild water rafting facility. Kempervennen another favourite has a snowdome, a sport centre and is near to psv stadium for the footy fans, eindhoven city for shopping. Huttenheugte is in drenthe and near to theme park plopsa land for smaller kids, emmen zoo, the drenthse hunnebedden prehistoric site. Meerdal, has a coolfactor mission for older kids, toverland theme park is nearby. Port zelande is near to where we live and is near the sea and a lake is best in the summer months is close to delta works neeltje jans and an atraction park and many beachsports such as kitesurfing/buggying can be done on the beach. Park zandfort is also on the coast and has a snowplanet nearby golf course, racing at zandvoort, and corpus a journey through the human body is also nearby. Parc sandur has an indoor fitness centre and playground, emmen zoo, westerbork camp a jewish workcamp in the 2ww. All parks are in a nature area and have tropical aqua mundo swimming pools, buffet and theme restaurants and supermarkets. Not really expensive but the supérmarkets in the nearby towns are cheaper and aldi and lidl are now in most towns. We always booked through the german or belgian site as they have different school holidays and are then cheaper for us this gave us a saving of more than €150 so maybe a good idea to try these sites before booking! The school holidays here are 18-26 oct. 2014 20 dec - 4 jan 2015 14 feb - 1 mar 2- 10 may 4 jul -30 aug 17 oct - 1 nov 2015 19 dec- 3 jan 2016 Hope this helps any questions please ask

I've gone for the het hejerbos (sp) one in a refurbished vip villa. Even with the ferry across its still about a grand cheaper than going in the UK. Looking forward to it!
