We are a family of 5, last yr 17, 16 and 11, we are all good eaters, we budget $150 per day off site and that's always enough, we eat out every meal, big breakfast GC etc, then snack in parks, evening meal somtimes cheap and cheerful and sometimes more expensive, evens out over hol. Can't comment for onsite as first time for us for 1wk last yr but had DDP. QS prices aren't too bad, TS more, check out the dibb menus to get an idea, also try allears.
For universal you can get the dining plan, $25 pp last yr, we found it good value, doesn't start till 11am so we had late breakfast (burger & fries) lunch about 3 then tea about 7pm, youcan get Chinese, pasta, pizza, burgers etc, quite a good choice in international good court in US Doesn't include drinks but can buy unlimited refill cup for $10, we just get 1 to share as can fill as often as you like and only 1 cup to carry around

Trying for More Ears

my advice I give, which was given by someone on here is save as much as possible and then divide it over the days. We did this and ended up with $190 a day, for the five of us this had to cover parking/food/presents/fuel etc. Only take out the daily budget and then if you have any left put it in a cup in the safe, and roll it over for a more extravagant meal out/extra shopping!
One place to try for nice cheap meal out that i'm sure teens of your kids age will love is Buffalo Wings, they have a website. We used the one on the Hwy 192 (15 mins from Disney ish) its a sports bar that's full of screens showing all sorts and the food is good, burgers/wings/sandwiches etc!
