disney magic if booked through Travel Agent

I hear a lot on the dibb about people experiencing the Disney magic!

The little extra touches if something has gone wrong or just little touches out of the blue.

People getting back to their hotel and finding something in the room etc...

Does this happen to anyone whether you booked through an agent or direct.

trying to get a feel for the differences between the two.

We panic and booked through ATD as they had our room and dates and within price. Hoping we don't miss out on the experience because of it.

We had always booked directly through Disney and had never had any ‘Disney Magic’ on any of our stays, until last year when we booked through ATD and on arrival we were upgraded from a studio to a 2 bed villa for our 2 weeks at SSR

Seems like it must be totally random!

Years ago we booked via Expedia for 4 nights at Grand Floridian. We were upgraded from standard to concierge in the main builds corner suit.
Other years we have booked direct and got no extras.
The Disney Magic is often if they are fixing an issue, or if you ask. Upgrades are random however you book.

Disney 'magic' can happen to anyone. You don't even have to be staying onsite at a Disney hotel to get a little extra something (for example, when my daughter started collecting pin badges, she got given one free by a CM and we weren't staying onsite at the time). So it doesn't matter who you book with.

BTW, when we've stayed onsite I don't remember coming back to our room and finding anything special in the room.
