TC flights: We're sorry but...
I keep getting this message- we are sorry but your flights has increased by £££ Surely their website is "live" enough to be able to display the correct pricing, or is this a common ruse with TC? I've not used them before.

Are they requiring you to pay the additional cost?

Sorry, never seen that on the Thomascookairlines website. Is that who you are using?

We've just landed this morning from our 4th TC visit in about 3 years.
Never had these issues. Assume you're on this site? thomascookairlines/ We always go PE though and after selecting the flights it takes you through seat selection and additional luggage then displays the final price. It's never increased as we've gone through the booking process for us. Mick

Hi all and thanks. Yes, it is Thomas Cook website. So I plug in my dates and it comes up with a few options.
Let's say "MCO- LGW 19th June 2019" ( I only need one way) and the flight times etc, and then it will have "£199 (9 at this price)" so I click on this option and then a window pops up "Sorry but the price has increased by £100. Continue/ Search again" If you click continue it moves on with the higher price. If you search again or click out of it and start all over again, the cheaper price comes up again! I thought it might be a common ruse - like those 3rd party websites where they bring you in with initial cheap flights and then - surprise- they're not available, but from your responses it just sounds like a website glitch.

might be worthwhile phoning to book instead, if you're not getting the option to book the flights at the price you want online.

Mmm, puzzling post. Just tried a dummy booking as per post #5 and the price stayed the same if I selected economy light. Is the OP certain that they're using the Thomas Cook airlines website as in the link provided by Mick in post #4?

It means that someone has booked the cheaper price and the flights have increased by however much it says. We were booking last Thursday and ours went up by £50pp outbound while we were checking the dates and price, we bit the bullet and booked, glad we did as the price and availability changed, went up by £200pp outbound and less seats at that price. It's always cheaper to come back for us. This is PE
Edit. It will show the cheaper price initially as the booking goes through for the other people booking. That window with the increase in price came up for us as well, although it had shown lower price initially. We usually book as soon as we see a price we're happy with Edited at 09:06 PM. |

I'm waiting to get paid! I started a new job and they made a mess so I haven't been paid yet. Also, I'm wondering how much to gamble with these TC flights... they fluctuate daily. Some soared up and haven't come down but others keep see sawing and I'm wondering will they shoot up or plummet and is it worth the risk?!
