There are still designated smoking areas across WDW properties, they were signposted last time we were there and also viewable in the MDE map too. Most of the resorts have a designated smoking area and each park have their own zones usually close to the restrooms. If anyone needs to use one and can’t find it just ask a CM and they will point you in the right direction. We don’t smoke but appreciate some folks need to take a few minutes to smoke a cig and stay calm especially on vacation. Just stick to the designated areas and you'll avoid being told off.

Further back I remember the 747s having a projector screen on the bulkhead with the projector being pulled down between the overhead compartments. The headphones were those plastic tube stethoscope things with the speaker being in the armrest.
We moved to the USA in 1979 and I remember those stethoscope headphones and a big screen at the front of the plane.

Even just planes with no IFE.

How did I cope as a child?
Ipads etc didn't exist back then.

I got to bring 1 barbie, coloring books and a reading book.

Not in the parks any more, they removed them all inside the parks earlier this year. The only smoking zones are outside the park gates now.

I remember being able to smoke in a cinema ...you couldnt see the screen for the fog! I hated being in the last row before the smoking section on a plane , you stank when you got off

I remember the days when flying virgin after lunch the cabin crew used to come round with a bottle of brandy and a bottle of baileys and ask which you preferred for an after dinner drink. I always had the brandy and DW had the baileys (shame shes allergic to alcohol and doesn't drink)
from memory weren't cinema's about the first thing to ban smoking

We used to go away with my mum and her sisters, who were all very heavy smokers, and we all sat in the smoking section. Different times though, they wouldn’t dream of smoking in front of the grandkids now.
Each time I went way, I’d buy a furry worm creature on invisible string, it would entertain me the whole way. who needs iPads? !

By coincidence, look what I found in the Highlife magazine today

Photo on cover of the lounge they used to have on 747 upper deck before moving to regular seats. Forgot they had this.

The first flight I went on to America had a smoking section I was 6-8 at the time now 32.

I expect like most I remember the isle TVs that had the same 3 films on a repeat loop as well.

I still remember a cabin crew member sprinting down the isle when she saw I had my original game boy out coming to tell me it would cause the plane to crash 😂
