4th July ...

I know it’s probably pretty obvious but are all the attractions crammed on 4th July. It will be our first 4th there and are thinking it’ll be probably best to have a day by the pool at the villa...Are the days either side of the 4th extra busy too?

Was in Epcot for the 4th July last year and was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was! We barely saw anyone around the world showcase area in the morning and only had to wait 30mins for the Frozen ride! We didn't really notice any crowds until later in the evening as it got closer to the fireworks. Apparently Epcot did reach capacity a few times during the day according to a CM but it didn't feel any busier than other days in the summer until later on.

I'd imagine MK is also busier on the 3rd July as all the special things that happen on the 4th are also on the 3rd e.g. the fireworks and dance parties etc. I'm also guessing that MK was a lot busier than Epcot on the 4th.

Anyone else had experience of crowd levels on 4th July..

we were there 2 yrs ago and didnt go in to the parks to evening. MK was crammed for the fireworks but the atmosphere was excellent and I was so glad we went. Most people were gathered for the fireworks so we managed to do several rides- we were coming down splash mountain at time the first firework went off. we then watched from near there- not a great view but still v special then we got a snack then most of the crowds had poured out and we went on several rides- pirates, flying carpet and I think thunder mountain. all with v little queue, we had gone on app and booked fp but didn't really need to have. we ended staying v late to the end which made it a v late night- I have a pic of my 7 yr old asleep in a buggy cuddling his new toy and past 1am back at SSR, but the kids managed fine until the bus ride ! probably my best time ever in MK

The last time we did a park on 4th July was 12 years ago in MK and we loved it though it was rammed. Our boys were big tall teenagers, so I had no worries about them getting lost though

Dress your kids in orange or green, anything but red, whte and blue!

The special fireworks in MK are usually on two days, I think the other day was 3rd July if you really can't face it on the 4th

We are always in the parks at rope drop so won’t be around for Fireworks so it sounds as if the mornings might be doable...
