2 year old bands and ride photos

I've been reading about how our bands may not pick up ride photos if the battery has died - is there anyway of checking this rather than ride and find out you haven't got them?

I may be wrong but I�d have thought that your bands wouldn�t let you into the park if the battery has died?

Would love to know this too as we are using our bands from 2016 in a few weeks.

I don't know of any way to check, but the way to be sure you get your photos is to tap your band on them when you exit the ride anyway. This won't work for the videos though, as I'm pretty sure the only way you can get those is by the band being detected on the ride.

You could also buy one new band for your group, rather than all having a new one.

It is only the battery for the long range RFID which runs out. So they will still work for park entry and fastpasses long after this feature is no longer functioning.

If I remember correctly Disney state that the batteries in the Magic Bands only last 18 months.
