those are brilliant prices. I have only gone indirect via Gatwick from Scotland other than once when I got a bargain Virgin flight. Its funny but I dont consider Manchester as direct as I still have to drive there and back so for me thats as inconvenient as a wait at Gatwick. I am also not driving tired when we land. Did it once and absolutely hated every second of it.

Driving back from Manchester after an overnight flight from Florida is quite possibly the most dangerous thing I have ever done.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone but my hat is off to those that manage it comfortably

I would echo this. I did it once, many years ago. I managed to drive for 2 hours before I needed to pull over for coffee. I then had to stop every 20-30 minutes as I was getting sleepy. Very dangerous on the M6/M74. Never again
