On the old Legacy system, we have been at DHS for park opening and done "the dash" to the FP machines. At 9:10 we were offered a slot for 1:45 p.m.! So if you are going to try for an FP+ at 11:30 then you are going to be given a really late slot or, as in your case, none at all.

Today is off season and the lines were bad with this system, all I can say is those of you that go to Disney in peak season I wish you the best of luck.
Firstly, it was Martin Luther King day (like a bank holiday) on Monday so this week is a bit busier because people are having a few days off after then. Also, I don't think HS was a recomended park on Wednesday and would've been a bit busier.

Having said that, it shouldn't have been too busy. But in the last few months I've seen lots of comments about how much busier the parks seem (except, strangely, around Christmas?).

As others have said, quite often the old fastpasses for TSM used to have run out before midday, so its not that surprising that the FP+ will also run out. And offsite guests have only just started trying out the FP+ system so the CM was sort of correct in saying it was new.

Here at the moment and can confirm it's ok. Plenty of staff to help out and no issues, although being able to use it once on a big rides might be an issue if you want to go on some rides more than once. Park maps don't have the locations of the kiosks on, but they weren't busy. My main gripe is that you don't get a printed ticket with times on, instead I'm having to take a photo, not a big problem, 'different' would be my conclusion, rather than there being anything particularly wrong...

Apologies if this has already been answered but does anyone know how the 'rider swap' system works with the new fastpass system? Anyone any experience of this?
