Who is still flight hunting Sept/Oct 2018?

I was hoping for a VH sale to bag a cheap upgrade for my outbound flight... no chance. Still over 2k for 2 adults 2 kids. I only paid 2600 for the flight anyway and that includes PE home!

i'm October going into November, but I booked with netflights on Saturday, £383 each including baggage and seat selection with Virgin/Delta, direct out from Gatwick to MCO on 28th October, back from MCO with a connect through Atlanta into LHR on 5th November. I've been watching those flights on skyscanner/netflights for a couple of weeks and they had started creeping up so I hit the book button.

Weve only just decided to go for October this year. Never booked this close .
Sky scanner flights keep fluctuating.
What would you expect to pay for around 20th Oct for 2 weeks
Flight or fly drive with one stop total duration around 13 hours each way.

They keep fluctuating , not saw flydrive ( not sure of best place to check for them ) flights around 580 and upwards from manchester.

What is the closest people leave it considering the week half term is in this
