Mobile Sainsbury’s currency card

Hi all, just looking into getting dollars and Sainsbury’s are offering the one of the best exchange rates. Just wondering if anyone has used one of these cards in the states. Also do they just work like a normal debit card?

We haven’t had a Sainsbury’s one, but did use Asda’s. Yes it works like a debit card. You can either use it to make payments or withdraw cash. Just be careful though, some machines were charging $6 for cash withdrawals.

We haven't used it in the states but have had the Sainsbury's card for about a year and used it on 4 trips to DLP and France and have found it great. Just use it like a normal debit card and it is contactless too. There's also an app you can download to top it up with any currency at any time

We have been back just over a week and we used the sainsbury's card with no problem. Used it in parks and shops. Sometimes they need you to enter your pin other times just signed the receipt.
We put the app on our phone and checked it daily. we also added extra dollars onto it through the app with no problems.

We had it too and pretty much did the same as you loading it via the app, I never kept much credit on it as I was concerned about it being cloned as we used a lot of small local shops, we were not staying in the Disney area. I'd use it again.
