It's the first year that prices seem to have gone up across the board, so the planners (me included) are let down too I've posted prices from previous years and have spreadsheets to prove that we weren't lying, so please feel let down with Disney and not with us.

With your figures you do need to allow for the 'combine and save' offer that was on yesterday, but that won't have been the whole rise. However, I will say that the resorts that always did seem to have an increase in price in previous years were the PO ones.

My price increased too, but by shopping around I've managed to get it cheaper than it was with Disney yesterday. My price with Disney yesterday (without the combine and save discount) was £3928. Orlando Attractions price today is £3756. So, have a shop around as you'll get it cheaper than Disney are advertising.

I think they mean the upgrade price from qsdp to ddp, and that is £476 for 2 adults for 14 nights.

My pofq price went up - but only because there are only garden view rooms left. I’m pretty sure the price is the same - apart from I would have saved an extra £81 or something yesterday, for buying room and tickets together. But today I have free dining and gift card, so I can’t complain.

They are though. They're saying, this is the room and ticket price and this is what the upgrade would cost, which gives them a total like for like price to compare against release. That's how I look at the figures too - I don't add the full cost of paying for a plan on as I'd never do that, so I look at the base costs with the upgrade.

Double checked a screenshot I took on 19th March for beach club and one just now and the price difference room for room on a garden view room is £196 more expensive now - which is still less than the gift card plus you get the free dining.

POFQ is one of the resorts that does traditionally go up a little bit, most stay the same or even go down a bit. I do keep spreadsheets and this has historically been true (I know someone on here has the percentages of the increase/decrease). My POFQ booking went up £210 after the offer was released which I was expecting- that is based on rack rate so the combine and save doesn't effect it.

I haven't been able to check out all the prices of other resorts due to the dodgy Disney website but it does look at first glance that more prices have gone up in comparison to previous years.

No-one can predict the future, if anyone advised you it would have been in good faith based on historical figures from the offer so I don't think you can hold anyone to account for that.

I think in fairness they are saying we all said it wouldn't go up even when the free dining was added. And it has.

I am surprised at the jump in prices. That said, those disappointed with Disney’s prices, I would highly recommend getting a quote from Orlando Attractions. They have beaten Disney’s price with cashback for me today.

But that's a crazy comparison isn't it? I mean, you cant just book the upgrade lol you have to pay for the QSDP first THEN upgrade.

If you book the same package yesterday as you can today you will pay much much more yesterday. The cost hasn't gone up. The cost has gone down dramatically.

They have removed a promotional discount & given you free dining. Free dining really is free dining in my opinion

I guess there are different ways of looking at it. No one will book it and pay for a full dining plan if they don't need to. So, if I was budgeting for this holiday pre free dining release and wanted to have upgraded dining, then my budget would be based on just that:
Room cost
Ticket cost
Upgraded dining cost, not the cost of paying for the full plan.
