For us, 2020 is our first Florida holiday as a family so have been planning it in my head for a long time and have already been saving for 2 years! We've booked a dibb villa for August 2020, we're researching flight prices for this year and looking forward to April (We've watched all the tim tracker videos so we know which hotels we like best).

However I think that it's mostly to do with my excitement because it's our first one as a family and DH and I last went to Florida in 2007!

Booking in April when (hopefully!) free dining released for 2020. Really want to go back to CBR!

And I thought I was getting ahead of myself for organising March 2020 when we've not even had the 2019 holiday yet...

We will be booking for 2020 in April hopefully free dining is back as I’ve finally convinced dh to do an onsite stay 😀🍾
Our first visit was on site way back in 2007 and I’ve never had the same experience at the Disney parks as I did hat year 😬 so I am very excited to go back. The saving has started already and I’m hoping I can afford a 1 bed at SSR and that there is one available in Feb 😆

I would be really worried about booking a villa this far ahead what happens if the villa is sold or repossed ? I know this can happen at any time but the odds increase with the time that you book. I have read on here about villas being sold and the new owners not honouring the price or the booking. I guess the other side of the coin is that if you don’t book a certain amount ahead then you don’t get the same choice.

Also if I were to book with Expedia, kayak etc I get a level of protection what level of protection do people get booking a villa privately aboue S75 if using a credit card ? Does travel insurance cover it ? But even then you can only get travel insurance a year out.

We wanted to book our "usual" villa on Tuscan Ridge for next year and the owner, Elaine, was very honest and upfront. She said they were planning on putting the villa on the market early next year, and that it was very unlikely to have been sold by the time we travelled. She said she would completely understand if we decided not to book, which we didn't.
