All cash, load up the wallet each morning with the day's allocation... credit and debit cards for emergencies.

What about piping for drinks from carts in parks. Do they all take cards?

We’re just over halfway through our trip. We only brought $200 in cash. Everything else has went on the credit card. Tips, the lot.

Getting Excited

Usually prefer cash but last year's NYC trip we put money onto a weswap card and used that - took out via cash machines or used as a debit card - For some reason at home hate using cash and i'll use my apple pay wherever I can but on holiday, no it's primarily cash all the way.
We've still got $300 left from last year so will probably take another $500 cash, have my CC as backup/link to magic band and load up the rest on to either the weswap or another good offer currency card.

Prob around $300 in cash and the rest on the Starling Card, free withdrawals if needed at a later date but most stuff will just be straight onto card.
