Holiday Insurance

Hi,
our holiday is due to be paid this month and we are looking to get our insurance before we pay the balance. Looking on a comparison website the maximum cover is only £8000 for cancellation.

Does anyone have any ideas where might be the best place to get insurance to cover the holiday in full, up to £17,000?

Thanks

Generally the cover amount for cancellation is per person, so most likely that is £8000 per person. Worth checking! X

We have about £8,000 cancellation cover as well but it's per person so we are covered for nearly £16k.

All of our recent policies have been per person

Just need to watch per person limits with DIY holidays especially. When you book Packages they are priced per person. When you book DIY things like hotels and cars are booked in a single name. It is often only this person that is insured so if those elements go over the insured value it doesn't matter how many other people travel you have hit the repayment ceiling.

Not all insurers work like this but some certAinly do

Don't forget to deduct the excess which is per person insured unless you pay for the waiver

I know we have to pay a lot for our insurance but we are with Boots Platinum - best cover of all that I checked and zero excess on everything.
