Our first trip was 4 nights in Miami 10 nights Orlando and the second was 7 nights in Orlando and 7 in Dallas. Both times we did 4 Disney parks, 2 Universal parks and on the longer trip we also went to KSC and the water parks. They were busy days (MK was 8am - close!) but we had a brilliant time. I'd go again for 7 nights if it meant we could go.
I'd love a longer stay (possibly 3 weeks) split between a villa and onsite but I have a feeling we'd still end up doing full days and come back absolutely shattered! |

I always think as many days as you can get for your budget is best

My first trip i went for 10 and came home having had a wonderful holiday - I didn’t have any rest days and made the most of every second. It was just me and the boyfriend at the time and it was ok to do this- I’d find it harder with a child in tow! It’s such a wonderful place that no length of time seems enough, but as people have said, if you adjust your expectations and be realistic, you will still have a wonderful holiday!

Thanks everyone..
I think we’re going to go with that, it’s only me and the boyfriend and only doing Disney this time and a trip to international drive and premium outlets etc. So should be able to fit it all in 😁

You'll have a great time, I'd even go as far as to say I prefer our shorter trips, as long as you go knowing that you won't fit in everything (which you still can't in 3 weeks) and are realistic We're only there for 8 nights this month for half term, just doing Universal & MNSSHP so one day at WDW, perfect for 1 week.

It’s not that we didn’t enjoy it, it’s just if I had the choice I’d always go for longer. We were restricted by time this year, not by anything else. The OP says “charter travel from Glasgow can only do 9 nights”. If it was me I’d look for alternatives to go for longer.

That sounds great, and thinking back, when I went for 10 nights, I did every Disney park, US, IOA and SW! No wonder I was exhausted! Lol. I had fabulous toned legs when I came back - ha ha.

Our first trip (once in a lifetime!) was 14 nights but we ended up loosing a day and a half due to an unscheduled stop in Iceland! It was 2 adults and 2 kids age 9 & 11. We are very much on the go people and managed to do all the Disney parks, universal, sea world, discovery cove and Busch gardens. We had a fab time didn’t see or do everything and booked 3 weeks for our next trip! I think if you’re just planning Disney, and that’s the only time you can manage it will be fine.

We're going for 11 nights next oct and I am concerned that it will not be long enough. We are just staying onsite at disney though so we won't be bothering with any of the other parks. Also we are not shoppers so that won't be taking away park time.
