A proposal to bring the legendary Hard Rock vibe to the iconic Daytona Beach shoreline is currently in discussion and the property slated to open surrounding the 58th Annual Daytona 500. I've heard about this but i doubt it'll be affordable for most 500 fans... even now a older basic hotel costs me around $400 a night for the 4 days over the 500 weekend i dread to think what the Hard Rock might cost.

And i suspect it'll have the same 3 or 5 night minimum stay over speedweeks :-(

This project has not got planning permission yet and there are residents objecting to the size of the hotel.

Having said that I think it will go ahead but 2016 may prove optimistic.
