Disney Revenue hits record $45 Billion for 2013

Disney officials announced a record revenue for 2013 of $45 Billion, a 7% increase over 2012. Fourth quarter revenue was $11.5 Billion up nearly 6% over 2012.

Disney attributes the boost to the increased theme park attendance over the summer period and also that guests are spending more dollars whilst on Disney property.

Revenue from its parks and resorts division increased eight percent in the fourth quarter of the fiscaal year and nine percent for the year. Operating income grew even faster, edging up 15 percent for the quarter and 17 percent for the year.
