Make sure you get a birthday badge for him and the cast members will write his name on it. They do them at city hall in the main park as well as the hotels (I think). This means some of the cast members on the rides will wish him happy birthday and you may get some extra magic from them if you are lucky

You can get a badge from City Hall and a phone call from Mickey. If you let people know it's his birthday he may get given something at the hotel - we have been given vouchers for free pins or other merch in the past.

Maybe a character meal?

definitely birthday badge and special telephone call from mickey at city hall. we celebrated my daughters 5th birthday there last week. she got so so much attention from all the CM and characters. it was super magical. loads came out of the parade to give her hi-fives etc.

i bought her a princess dress and a elsa doll on her birthday from one of the boutiques. so maybe a new dress up outfit?

i was tempted by a cake but their euro 35 which i thought was a lot when the buffets all have such nice desserts.
