Looking for recommendations of places to stay in Wales with stunning scenery (obvious I know Snowdonia is amazing so looking for a specific places).

After staying in a lodge right on the edge of Loch Lomond in May I have been spoilt.

Ideally a lodge break but open to suggestions.

Snowdonia is amazing, we stayed in a cottage in the tiniest of villages there last summer and it was beautiful and so unspoilt. We booked through Sykes Cottages. The cottage was around 5 miles from Betws-y-Coed which is a great base.

Another area we regularly visit in our own touring caravan is Pembrokeshire. Most people stay around Tenby area, but we stay nearer to Broad Haven as it’s less touristy.

Aberystwyth and the coastline in that area is stunning also and I’m sure there are quite a few lodge type parks in that area.

I hope you enjoy your stay in Wales, the mountains, coastline and countryside is beautiful and not too touristy either.

Below is a link to the cottage we stayed in, it was remote so no pubs or shops within walking distance but plenty a few miles away. It was spotless clean and had everything we needed. They have loads of different cottages with various levels of facilities on their website though all over the UK, including all of Wales

The photos don’t do it justice, it really was very nice. The bed was incredibly comfortable after lots of long walks 😀

Ditto from us. We’ve stayed in this beautiful little cottage twice. Lovely photo taken by DS at night just up the road from the cottage. It is beautifully unspoilt

We stayed in a forest holidays lodge in Beddgelert it’s a beautiful area and we had a hot tub

We recently stayed at slate houses lodges near Llandinam. Only four lodges on site, each with a hot tub and very peaceful. Fab views too.

We stayed in a lodge just outside Bala last year. Very pretty place and lots to do locally
