Upgrading to upper at checkin

Hi

I’ve just spoke to the flying club to see how much miles it would be to upgrade to upper from premium on my outbound flight for 4 of us. It would be 28,500 each but I don’t have enough miles for that. If you enquire ask at checkin will it still be the same amount or less

Thanks 😊

Always the same. They don't give particularly special offers at check-in, and when they do it's because of overbooking cabins and usually offered to frequent flyers.

To be honest, if you are flying to MCO, you probably wouldn't get an upgrade to UC. There are only 14 seats in Upper on the 747s and on every flight we've been on, the cabin is full.

This! and OP is looking at 4 passengers ... chances are vitrually 0 to be able to upgrade at check in, miles or money, or pretty please smile.

I think it was last Oct when my Son was with us and I know there were 5 UC seats available. We asked at check in and they wanted £950 each for the leg to MCO.

Strangely enough I declined! However I did wander up from PE during the flight and the UC cabin was full.

Ok, I'll bite - what the heck does this have to do with an UC upgrade?
