Fort Wilderness Cabin

Hi all,

I posted yesterday about Art of Animation Suite compared to Caribbean Resort for us next year - family of 5 with children aged 8,5 and 2, this would be for 14 nights

I have now taken a look at the Fort Wilderness Cabins and wondered whether these are a better option especially as it looks unlikely to have free DDP come up for it so we could save some money on food

I have seen a few posts saying the downside is the location, I was wondering if anyone can say how long it takes to get to Magic Kingdom for example and how easy the transport is from there

Also we would get the Disney bus from MCO to there, do they drop you off at the entrance and then how easy is it with luggage etc bearing in mind we will have multiple children with us

We stayed here and loved it!
It has a full kitchen which we used to have a few meals in and save money
There is an internal bus that takes you near your cabin
To get to MK you get the boat across the lagoon which is a lovely way to arrive

Stayed in these a few times. Great fun.
The bedroom is quite small as the double bed is against the wall with the bunk beds on the other wall. This would be fine for the eldest children but the youngest would need a cot which would be a tight squeeze unless it was put in the living area.
Last year we had 2 yr old twins with us and the 2 cribs went in the living area.
No problems with transport and some lovely woodland walks with deer and other animals wandering around.lovely relaxing boat ride to Magic Kingdom
