In florida and need to use the washing machine help please
Hi all.
Can anyone advise how to use the washing machine. We bought some Clorox. Followed the instructions by putting half a cup in the bottom of the drum and switched it on. Half of our clothes have one out ruined. We didnt by conditioner but it looked that should have gone in the Middle. Any advice would be appreciated |

I think Clorox might be bleach. Just looked it up online and looks like it's used as a stain remover and needs to be used alongside a washing detergent like Tide. I could be wrong though!

Hi, hope you are having a good holiday. I have used the washing machines over there for many years and I have always bought a box of washing powder, as per the instructions you put the powder in the drum then put in the washing. If you do buy conditioner that goes in the top. I may be wrong but I am fairly sure Clorox is a form of bleach and is normally added to the top when you are doing whites. Last year I bought Tide powder and then conditioner sheets to pop in the tumble dryer, if you are not going to tumble dry then the conditioner I think was called Downie and it smells lovely. In fact I bought a few boxes of their sheets home with me.

We always take our own liqui-tabs when we go. I am clueless when it comes to the different American products and I’d rather be safe with what I know 🙂

We always buy tide liquid. I never get softer as everything goes in the tumble, anything else we hang in the garage and always seems to be ok!

As above clorox is bleach, it can be added to a wash but think for whites & stains, I buy Tide over there, it’s a popular brand & snuggle tumble dryer sheets which i bring home
